Time: 10.30 AM, 6th September 2008 Saturday

Venue: CIS Office, No. D 2. Third Floor, Sheriff Chambers, No 14 (old no. 10), Cunningham Road, Bangalore. Ph +91 80 4092 6283 It is the same building as Wockhardt Hospital. Please use the side entrance. You have to climb 5 flights of stairs. it is just above the United Breweries office floor. It is opposite Bangalore Chamber of Industries and Commerce (BCIC).

Minutes of the meeting happened on 6th saturday september 2008 between 10.30 to 1.00 pm

  • participants --- sunil abraham , anivar, senthil abbhas, sujith , renuka prasad ,sridhar , jaykumar , vidya and ....( please update -- i forgot other two members names )

intially anivar starter with the follow up of saying no to software patents anivar and sunil abraham briefed about the way in which the follow up of saying no to software patents mainly to have a parallel session or a public consulting or a debate to the governments meeting with software companies on ...... later after few discussions Abbhas idea of inviting some one from ministry of small and medium scale industries ( correct me if it is wrong ) was felt good and also idea of having a public debate came...

celebrating software freedom day a state level essay competition to be conducted at two levels ( age group or by academic ) sunil abraham announce that CIS will sponsor for the prizes , banners and brouchers aslo a common venue where on 20th or some day in which all the free software supporters can meet and celebrate software freedom thought cam and there was a belief that christ college had agreed to give the venue....

spreading software freedom day celebration --- volunteers taking the free software movement to those colleges and schools which are already not aware was felt necessary and decided that at least few new colleges will be identified for creating awareness about free software and free software movement..

SFD action plan will be made by Abhas(Deep Root Linux).
